How To FixYesterday when I got back from work I've tried to connect over the wire - no luck and here starts the problem; - Windows 7 stuck trying to identify network; - It does not resolve automatically the IP address from the building network; - Since I have another laptop, from DELL, running XP version, I put the cable into it and no problem appeared to get connected over the wire on internet; - That said, I've tried to set all static configuration from DELL - regarding IP, DNS, GATEWAY, and so forth - on HP box and did not get any luck; - Static or non- static information on HP box does not work either; - Then I've reinstalled the Ethernet Adapter - no luck; - Then I've restored windows checkpoint for one day before the updates - no luck; - Then I've put a cable between computers - set 1. DELL and 1. 96. 1. HP and from DELL was possible to reach HP, but the opposite gives me timed out; - Then I've restored HP for the system factory configuration - as my last resort - and did not get luck; Does anybody has something to add into this loop and suggest any tricky step to repair it? I'm not confident that this is a hardware device failure. Thanks a bunch! Paulo.
